We are delighted to now be stocking a range of  *BEERS*  brewed by the Wimbledon Brewery. Utilising only the best English brewing ingredients and traditions we agreed they were fantastic when we tried them and thought they would be fun to have in the deli during Wimbledon Fortnight!!

In his 37-year career, General Sir Richard Shirreff commanded soldiers on operations at every level. This has included combat in the Gulf War of 1991 and again in Iraq, together with operations in Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Bosnia.  He commanded NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps and his final post before withdrawing from the Army, he was NATO’s 4 Star Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe.

Doors open at 7pm and the lectures start at 8pm at the King Edward VII Memorial Hall, Upper Clatford, SP11 7QL. Parking is available behind the hall.

A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Manager to join a well established business, passionate about high quality food & service in the bustling picturesque town of Stockbridge. 

Job title: Operations Manager
Responsible to: Owner
Responsible for: Thyme &Tides Bistro Manager, Woodfire Manager & front of house staff
Salary: Based on level of experience
Hours per week: Full time (45) including weekends and the occasional evening

Overall responsibilities
Ensuring the smooth running of both sites (Thyme & Tides and Woodfire) whilst maintaining the highest standard of customer service and hygiene at all times and representing the values of Thyme & Tides.

Key tasks & responsibilities
Personnel management including hiring, training and discipline
Line Manage T&T Bistro Manager and Woodfire Manager
Staff rota is sufficient and coordinating staff holidays
Ensuring the correct levels of stock are maintained including, change and office consumables
Coordinating between the front of house & kitchen
Restaurant & staff presentation is upheld at all times
Updating our EPOS system with bistro & deli items
Customer emails and enquiries
Supporting the owners with any task relating to the bistro
Updating social media

Essential skills/Experience of:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Enthusiasm for the hospitality business
Experience working in a restaurant/hospitality industry at a senior level
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise & multi task
Willingness to take on a wide range of tasks
Computer literacy
Excellent time management skills
Managing, supervising and motivating staff

Desirable skills/Attributes:
Personal licence holder, training can be arranged
Experience organising events
Using E-Letter software such as Mail Chimp
Experience with social media including Facebook, Twitter & Instagram

You must be eligible to live & work in the UK

The whole event is at Stockbridge Town Hall which is in the middle of the high street and we have secured extra parking in the field at the Longstock end of the High Street, keep an eye out for the signs!

After taking a short break over the Summer we are now ready and raring to go with some new dates for a season of Moules Frites evenings starting in September.

Serving mussels 2 ways along with skinny chips and crusty bread for dunking and moping up all the wonderful juices here are the dates:
