The deli is now filled with wonderful cheeses ripe and ready for Christmas. From a creamy Brie de Meaux or Vacherin Mont D’or to Jamie Montgomery’s farmhouse cheddar. Stinking Bishop to Colston Bassett handmade Stilton. Soft, hard, blue, cow, goat and sheeps milk cheeses, we have them all.
We are delighted to be working closely with Caviste Wine Merchants and are now stocking a selection of their wines. Perfect as gifts, adult stocking fillers or simply enjoy yourself with friends and family over the Christmas weekend. Port, Somerset Cider Brandy and Godminster infused Vodka’s with elderflower, blackcurrant and sloe’s make great presents and we have those too.
Ashley’s fish counter will be brimming all week with fabulous fresh fish and shellfish. Also in stock plenty of Summer Isles Scottish Smoked salmon and gravadlax perfect as an aperitif or a simple starter.
If the Christmas shopping is taking it’s toll then why not stop for a moment and reward yourself with a lovely Monmouth Coffee or Kokoa Collection hot chocolate in our bistro.
We are open today, tomorrow Monday 19th December and straight through to Christmas Eve.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hello and welcome to our second Christmas here in Stockbridge!
We have been very busy these past few weeks filling the deli with fabulous foodie gifts and treats for yourself, friends and family to enjoy this December.
Christmas = Cheese and we have some fantastic new ones in stock! If you like goats cheese then you must try Katherine, Driftwood or our personal favourite Rachel made by the lovely Pete Humphries. Spanish cheeses are always popular and we have a great selection to choose from. Monte Enebro, Picos Blue and Villarejo Manchego are now in the cheese counter and will add colour and wow factor to any cheeseboard.
If you fancy an alternative to the tradtional cheddar this Christmas then Gruyere Premiere Cru is the cheese for you. Aged for 14 months it is sweet, nutty and luxurious.
More of a blue cheese fan? Have you tried Barkham Blue? Winner of ’Best Blue Cheese’ at this years British Cheese Awards it is one of our deli favourites along with the creamy and crumbly Colston Bassett handmade Stilton. If like me you prefer something gooey and unctious then why not try a Vacherin Mont D’or or Epoisses ~ and guess what, we have those too!
New to the deli this Christmas are Stoney Cross truckles made locally by Lyburn cheesemakers. Available in a gift box they make a lovely present or grown up stocking filler! To accompany your cheeses remember to stock up on cheese crackers and chutneys, we have a great selection from The Fine Cheese Company.
Ballancourt wild boar, pheasant and duck pates in kilner jars make great presents as do a new range of fish rillettes now in the deli. Black seabream and ginger, scallop with smoked bacon or razor clam with apple brandy. Delicious on hot toast for lunch or as an aperitif when unexpected guests appear!
Looking for a sweet treat? Delicious cantuccini, biscotti, Chococo Christmas chocolates, panforte and Sardinian pannetones all make great gifts for family, friends and teachers with the end of term nearly here.
Caviste Wine Merchants ~ selected wines and fizz now in the deli!
Ashley is now taking orders for seafood platters, cooked lobsters and Scottish salmon so do order soon to avoid disappointment.
I could go on to mention in great detail our gourmet Christmas crackers, Hampshire Bakery Christmas Cakes, boozey mincemeat and mini mince pies, Godminster vintage waxed cheddar and vodkas, organic brandy butter and brandy double cream but I feel I must stop somewhere!
Last but not least from everyone here at Thyme & Tides I would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you a fabulous foodie Christmas and a very happy 2012 ~
Sally, Iain and Ashley
